The course "Principles and Practices of Corporate Social Responsibility" is organised twice a year in the Programa de Educação Continuada (Continuing Education Program) of the Business School Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo (GVPec). It is divided in 11 modules (Introduction, Values and Transparency, Internal Public, Environment, Suppliers, Consumers/Clients, Community, Government and Society, Ethos-Indicators, Social Balance and Emerging Subjects) giving the participants an wide view of corporate social responsibility.
BSD has participated in the modules "Standards and Certifications" and "Emerging Subjects - Fair Trade" from the first edition of the course.
The course emerged on the initiative of Instituto Ethos in co-operation with CETS - Centre for Studies in the Third Sector of EAESP-FGVSP. The content of the initial program is available on the site of Instituto Ethos, in academic community.
