Co-Founder and Managing Consultant BSD Brasil

Co-Founder, director and senior consultant of BSD, Beat has Bachelor degrees in French Literature, Linguistics and Philosophy from the University of Zurich, and a Postgraduate degree in Cooperation for the Development from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

He worked as communications officer in the Swiss Committee for UNICEF. He is a trained consultant in Accountability Standard AA1000 by SGS/EQManagement/Forum for the Future, and an associate member of ISEA, Institute of Social and Ethical AccountAbility, London. He is a trained auditor SA8000 by Social Accountaiblity International SAI.

In last years, Beat has worked as inspector and liaison officer for FLO (Fairtrade Labelling Organization) in Brazil and today he is the consultant for Transfair, the fairtrade organisation in the US.

He also lectures on Social Norms and Fairtrade at the Funda‹o Getœlio Vargas Business School in S‹o Paulo and several CSR courses at Uniethos.
